Job Description

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team. The Sales Engineer provides specialized technical expertise to support the sales team ahead of the actual sales to drive sales of an optimum solution mix to customers.

Responsibilities

As part of our team, you will:

  • Evaluates and develops business opportunities in collaboration with Sales team / Account Manager
  • Supports sales opportunities through broad technical / system level expertise and internal / external business understanding.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert and engages customers, presents viable technical solutions, and articulates their value to the customers.
  • Contributes to the creation of customer network evolution plans, and competitively positions our technology strategy, solutions and products to address customer needs.
  • Addresses complex technical risks (EG solution roadmap availability) with mitigation plans and solutions which generate solid business impact.
  • Contributes to the LoA process from technical perspective.
  • Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, and services.
  • Actively supports the bid team during offer development phases (EG solution description, Scope of Work (SoW), Bill of Quantity (BoQ), Statement of Compliance (SoC)), and often lead workstreams and taskforce activities.
  • Makes technical presentations to customers focusing on Nokia's value proposition to customer during prospect and negotiation phases.
  • Travel: 25%
Qualifications

You must have:
  • At least 10 years' experience with IP network planning, deploying, commissioning, managing and troubleshooting routers and data-networking equipment, and/or sales engineering
  • Proficient knowledge and Experience in Sales of IP products and related SW and HW architectures (TCP/IP, IP/MPLS, RSVP-TE, LDP, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, Segment Routing, QoS, Routing Policy, MPLS Services (VPLS, VPWS, VRF, EVPN))
  • Linux Operating System, Scripting and DevOps Development Experience
  • SP IP network design
  • Deep Knowledge and Hands-on experience with IP/MPLS networking
  • Deep Knowledge and Hands-on experience with SD-WAN and NSP
It would be nice if you also had:
  • Prior Experience in Sales Engineering or IP Consultant Engineering is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Nokia internal processes for pre-sales, ordering and customer delivery
