CLINICAL LIAISON COORDINATOR

JOB SUMMARY: This position exists to proactively develop and support the process in maintaining communication between all departments and orderly patient flow from admission to discharge. This position requires a person who is well organized and demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail. The Clinical Liaison Coordinator is required to manage continuity and encourage a good working relationship between all departments. Responsible for pre and postop phone calls. May be delegated additional responsibilities or special assignments.

 REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Reports to the Administrator and Clinical Director

 Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Knows and adheres to policies of the Center and demonstrates fiscal responsibility.
  • Follows standards, policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for peri-operative nursing care according to accepted standards.
  • Assists in continuous improvement of patient flow and continuity of care from admission to discharge
  • Performs pre and post op phone calls
  • Follows employee health and other personnel and staffing policies.
  • Able to work as a team member
  • Acts as a liaison between administration office and the clinical areas for good communication.
  • Remains calm and functions as a team member during times of stress and crisis situations.
  • Seeks involvement in activities that promote professional growth and behavior.
  • Follows employee health and other personnel and staffing policies.
