Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to provide end-user technical support and ensure seamless IT operations. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 desktop support for Windows-based environments.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Office applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve printer and peripheral device issues, including driver installations and network configurations.
  • Assist in hardware installations, upgrades, and replacements for desktops, laptops, and related devices.
  • Perform system updates, software installations, and security patches as required.
  • Manage and document support tickets using [specify ticketing system, e.g., ServiceNow, Jira].
  • Educate users on best practices and provide training for common IT tasks.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to address network, server, and system-related concerns.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in desktop support or similar roles.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 11).
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Familiarity with printer troubleshooting, including networked and standalone devices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with end-users.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and user account management.
  • Experience with remote desktop tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk, Remote Desktop Protocol).
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, or equivalent.
