Job Duties and Responsibilities

DISH Wireless is looking for a Staff RF Engineer to support our national team. Engineers will report to the National Senior RF Engineering Leader and work with other cross functional teams within the market.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Lead RF design activities for the first standalone 5G broadband network in the US.

  • Conduct Monte Carlo analysis to evaluate network capacity.

  • Determine and optimize equipment and power configurations.

  • Collaborate with RF Management and Technology teams on advanced design criteria and continuous network improvements.

  • Mentor junior engineers and lead project teams, ensuring high performance and knowledge transfer.

  • Leverage Python, Java, PowerShell, and develop Macros for sophisticated automation tasks.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

As a successful Staff RF Design Engineer, you will have:

Education and Experience:

  • BSEE/BSCS degree (MScEE preferred) with 8+ years in wireless design/optimization.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in 3G/4G/5G and NR theory with practical experience.

  • Skilled in macro/small cell RF designs, operations, and RF link budgets for 3GPP technologies.

  • Experience with EME and FCC report generation.

  • Proficient in 5G NR technology, antenna theory, propagation models, and O-RAN architecture.

  • Expertise in industry tools (Planet, Atoll) and drive test data processing (Windcatcher, Actix).

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $110,100.00/Year - $180,900.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
