Job Description

The Staff Collaboration Engineer (Workplace MS Office365) is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the Microsoft 365 platform and services for NBCUniversal. The Microsoft 365 SSRE will work closely with the business stakeholders, Cyber Security and Infrastructure teams, and vendors to ensure the optimal performance, security, and compliance of the Microsoft 365 environment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Design, implementation, and full-stack lifecycle support covering all aspects of Collaboration Products & Services (M365, Slack, Zoom, Unified Communication, ect.).
  • Leading initiatives to enhance and improve scope, design, and implementation of Collaboration & Unified communication solutions.
  • Leading the development of a scalable architecture that supports the organization’s strategic roadmap.
  • Leading end-to-end implementations plus engaging as solution architect simultaneously with other projects that are in progress.
  • Participating in incident cause-analysis & assistance in remediation & design efforts to improve reliability/prevent future failure scenarios.
  • Working with service delivery leads and business solution partners to support technology assessments.
  • Optimization and advanced troubleshooting of Collaboration Solutions. Planning improvements and features with a 6 month view.
Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 products and services, such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, etc.
  • 5+ years experience programming including shell scripting (PowerShell)
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing Azure services including designing and implementing cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure services, such as Azure Active Directory, Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure DevOps, etc.
  • Experience in enterprise Design and implement unified communications and collaboration solutions using Microsoft 365 products and services, such as Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive, and Power Platform
  • Experience in Monitoring and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 issues and incidents and provide root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Experience in security and compliance of the Microsoft 365 environment and implement appropriate policies and controls.
  • Collaborate with Cyber Security and vendors to integrate Microsoft 365 with other systems and applications.
  • Experience in integration and interoperability of Microsoft 365 solutions with other cloud and on-premises systems and applications.
  • Experience in Document the architecture, design, and configuration of the Microsoft 365 solutions and provide training and knowledge transfer to the clients and stakeholders.
  • Ensure the security, performance, scalability, availability, and reliability of the cloud solutions and adhere to the best practices and standards of cloud architecture.
  • Strong understanding of basic networking concepts and internet protocols
  • Email and calendaring (Exchange, Outlook, Proofpoint).
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally to stakeholders and engineers.
  • Ability to build effective cross-functional relationships in support of delivering enterprise-wide Mobility solutions.
  • Ability to execute within a fast-paced agile process.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in computer-related field preferred or equivalent years of experience.
  • Flexibility to work with varying hours, including overtime, nights, and weekends with minimal notice as on a needed basis.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Certification in Microsoft 365, such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate, etc.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
