Description
The (RN) Clinical Coordinator performs and directs nursing care, delegates nursing activities, and coordinates the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care to provide optimal quality care, consistent with the hospital's mission and nursing philosophy, objectives, and standards. The Clinical Coordinator works with Director and Assistant Director to facilitate coordinate and direct staff and patient care activities and the flow of communication and education between staff and management.
Shift: 7a-7p, every Sat/Sun and one day every other week | Full-Time 36 hours per week
The Resource Coordinator will float between Ortho/Surgical (5 North) and Med Surg (3 North)
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure in North Carolina.
- BSN preferred.
- Certification in BLS (American Heart Association OR American Red Cross)
- Successful completion of a hospital and unit-specific orientation which includes age and population specific skills for the area of practice in which the RN will be working and addresses the growth and development needs for the patients for whom the RN will be providing nursing care.
- Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds; may occasionally lift up to 100lbs with assistance or assistive devices.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as simple grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation (i.e. keyboard).
- Good visual acuity required for patient assessment, medication administration, and documentation of care.
- Good hearing essential for accurate patient assessment.
- All employees with an RN job classification in the department of Nursing may have a high risk of exposure to blood borne pathogens or other potentially infectious materials and the use of PPE.
