Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer will provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of market sectors, such as healthcare, academic, industrial, and commercial projects.

In this role, you will:
  • Provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems for healthcare, science & technology, education, and commercial projects
  • Perform load/energy calculations with software such as Trace 700, Carrier HAP, and similar programs
  • Work with a senior engineer to conduct building surveys and documentation of existing HVAC systems
  • Develop design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings
  • Write/edit project specifications
  • Prepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies
  • Code compliance research
  • Coordinate work with other disciplines
  • Provide construction administration services
Required Qualifications:
  • You have a minimum of 8-12 years design experience required
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field required
  • You have LEED certification/experience, PE/EIT is preferred
  • You have experience with laboratories/medical facilities design is preferred
Skills/abilities:
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office
  • Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines
  • Excellent work ethic and attitude
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
