Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer at Exp Federal, you will be responsible for providing expertise to federal government community worldwide sites on the mechanical engineering aspects of installation, modification, operation, and maintenance of facilities, mission systems, support systems, HVAC, fuel, compressed air, and plumbing systems. You will review contractor submittals against specifications and respond to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs).


The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical guidance to contractors on mechanical engineering aspects of installations, modifications, operations, and maintenance.
  • Reviews contractor submittals for compliance with specifications and responds to RFIs.
  • Develops independent cost estimates for government and internal proposal purposes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited American university or Professional Engineering License.
  • At least 7 years of experience in the commercial construction industry.
  • Active Security Clearance from the US Federal Government and ability to obtain and maintain it.
