Job Summary

Responsible for the management of all administrative functions within the Department including hospital and outpatient imaging, satellite imaging centers, and the coordination of all grants associated with the Department of Radiology in the Center City Division (TJUH, Methodist and JHN). Serves as deputy for the Department Chairman in administrative matters. Reports to Vice President of Operations, TJUH

Essential Functions
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

  • In partnership with physician leadership and other key stakeholders, directs, plans and manages the Radiology Department, to achieve department and hospital goals.
  • Organizes and coordinates inpatient and outpatient services, oversees operations, and manages staff and budget in accordance with hospital's policies and procedures
  • Responsible for strategic development: develops staff and facilities to meet new, existing, and future needs.
  • Assures compliance with all standards and regulations of local, state and national regulatory and accrediting agencies
  • Works with other Imaging Directors throughout the region to share information, processes and best practices.
  • Develops and fosters collaboration among clinical departments and services to ensure an integrated and coordinated approach to the delivery of Radiology Services.
  • Practices fiscal responsibility and is an active participant in budgetary and capital planning activities.
  • Exercises a continuous improvement mindset and executes on identified opportunities to enhance quality, safety, experience, and operations.
Qualifications

Education:

BA/BS (required) Healthcare/Business or related field

Graduate of an AMA, JRCERT accredited School of Radiography (required)

Masters degree preferred

AND

Experience:

Minimum five years of relevant leadership experience preferably in a large, highly matrixed academic organization

Conditions of Employment

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.

Conditions of Employment
