Admissions Coordinator Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience in admissions or a related field, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to empathize and effectively communicate with individuals seeking treatment
  • Familiarity with insurance verification processes
  • Commitment to promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion
Admissions Coordinator Responsibilities
  • Guide individuals through the admissions process, providing information and support.
  • Conduct pre-assessments to gather essential information for the intake process.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess the appropriateness of potential admissions.
  • Verify insurance coverage and communicate financial obligations to individuals and their families.
  • Coordinate and schedule admission appointments, ensuring a seamless transition for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of admissions data and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure a cohesive and person-centered approach.
  • Communicate effectively with external referral sources and healthcare providers.
  • Provide timely updates to individuals and their families regarding the admissions process.
