DAT is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join our security team This position can be based in Denver, CO; Beaverton, OR; or remotely.

What You'll Do

  • Influence our Cloud Security, Workforce Identity, and Zero Trust Programs directly through your work, recommendations, and unique perspective
  • Build, Run, and Maintain our security infrastructure with the goal of improving our overall organizational security posture and the security of our product infrastructure.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to implement security baselines, remediate or mitigate security vulnerabilities/misconfigurations, and kickstart net-new security initiatives.
  • Conduct detailed comprehensive analysis and investigation on a wide variety of security events within the Cloud/IAM infrastructure stack.
  • Participate in architectural design review for our product infrastructure and organizational technology to evaluate security risk, controls, and features.
  • Though schedule changes are not frequent, you will need to have flexibility to accommodate changes as needed.
  • Implement containment and mitigation processes, and drive any incidents to closure
  • Engage with efforts to improve our security culture internally through trainings, outreach, documentation, and automation
  • Research and stay updated on emerging trends, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) of threat actors.
  • Learn from, and be mentored by, those who are building and securing our cutting-edge services in a hybrid environment.
  • Validate that our services, applications, and websites are designed and implemented to the highest security standards.
  • Evaluate our current cybersecurity tooling and recommend areas for improvement/investment.
  • Foster constructive relationships and seek resolution when confronted with disagreements.
  • Develop security metrics for organizational transparency and informed ELT context.
  • Development of new security services, tools, and technologies that enable the success of the business.
  • Assistance with recruiting activities and administrative work, as needed.

The Skills and Experience You'll Bring

  • Minimum of 5 years of Security Engineering Experience
  • Expert understanding of Cloud Security Fundamentals (ideally with AWS) and experience with cloud transformation initiatives.
  • Expert knowledge of system administration (Linux/Windows), network security (WAFs/Gateways), and identity and access management (authN, authZ)
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities for managing initiatives that advance corporate goals.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams to advance security initiatives.
  • You will have the combination of troubleshooting, technical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle a mix of disparate tasks which may include project, operational, and technical development work.
  • Attention to detail with effective written and verbal communication skills and the capability to communicate with cross-functional teams.
  • BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
