General Summary: The Semiconductor Market Development Manager is responsible for identifying growth opportunities, building high, wide and deep customer connections, promoting Avient value, securing new specifications, managing projects start to finish and ultimately contributing to the closing of new profitable business. This individual is a thought leader who performs independently and has demonstrated the ability to influence peers and higher levels in organizations (Avient and Customer). This individual will collaborate with market and product managers, sales, and technology teams globally to achieve business objectives. Travel is expected to be 50%. Essential duties and responsibilities: The purpose of the Function is to deliver: Opportunity Development and Profitable Growth - Identify opportunities, develop account relationships, define product CTQ's, specify new or existing materials and then collaborate with sales to close new business and service opportunities. Drive business growth through voice of customer (VOC) and the promotion of existing technologies or the development of new products that result in material specifications. Own key linkage between customer, sales, technology, and the business. Lead cross functional teams in collaboration with Marketing or Product Management with sales, and technical functions to accelerate and drive profitable growth.
