PC Specialist Level I

The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Providing on-call support to center and Administrative Offices employees as part of a scheduled rotation with other team members;
  • Resolving center and Administrative Offices PC issues;
  • Providing training and technical support to employees at the centers and Administrative Offices;
  • Analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving complex PC problems;
  • Recommending and implementing hardware solutions. This often requires working off-site at the centers;
  • Maintaining an inventory of computer equipment and be able to offer guidance on what equipment needs to be purchased;
  • Developing and implementing new computer projects and new hardware installations;
  • Working with third-party vendors to resolve PC issues when necessary.
Minimum education and professional requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field or one to three years of task related experience;
  • One to three years experience with Patient First preferred;
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting PC systems;
  • Working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems and standards, including TCP/IP, internet, and routing;
  • Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural guidelines, and OEM guides;
  • Ability to research and resolve computer related issues;
  • Ability to prioritize;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
