Overview

We are looking for an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide services to the detention adult & juvenile patient population. Outpatient clinic is open Monday thru Friday from 9 to 9.This position is for 8 hours/week (on Tuesdays) 0800-1630. Requires 24/7 on-call, however, it is rarely utilized after hours. During business hours the staff will cluster their calls.

Responsibilities

The duties of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Medication management of detainees
  • Diagnosing and treating new detainee arrivals for acute and chronic conditions
  • Prescribing medications and developing plans of care
  • Educating participants on disease and lifestyle choices
  • Review of all Health Assessments and determination of further treatment needed if applicable
Qualifications
  • Wyoming Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) unrestricted license
  • Two years of current experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
