Pump Assembly Technician II

Summary:
We are seeking a Pump Assembly Technician II to prepare and document pump assemblies. This role also involves disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, and reassembling pumps during repair processes. The Technician will perform a variety of equipment and tool assemblies and meet testing requirements. The individual must have access to modern materials and tools to ensure delivery of high-quality products to our customers.
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in assembling rotating, aeronautical, hydraulic, or automotive equipment
- Basic computer skills to use data entry systems and Microsoft Office
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required
- Team player with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Responsibilities:
- Complete pump assemblies according to drawings, instructions, and work orders, performing tests as needed
- Operate precise measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and dial indicators, as well as manual tools like hydraulic torque wrenches and spark wrenches
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of inspection equipment to ensure all parts and assemblies meet specifications
- Clean all parts and components before assembly and ensure assemblies are completed according to procedures
- Adhere to all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues
- Demonstrate attention to detail and results-oriented approach
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and read technical drawings
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Process and comply with all Flowserve policies and procedures
- Write routine reports and communicate clearly with colleagues, supervisors, and customers
- Have a customer service mindset for on-time delivery and high-quality craftsmanship
- Perform other duties as necessary
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Workshop experience
- Knowledge of control automation and electrical components
- Experience as a mechanic for rotating machinery or general mechanical equipment
- Vocational schooling or training
