Onsite Location: Norfolk, VASchedule/Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30AM – 4:30PMPay starting at $20 an hour Pay can increase depending on experience

Responsibilities:As a Rotating Equipment/Pump Repair Technician, you will be responsible for the following, including, but not limited to:
  • Tear down of equipment and disassembly reports; this includes detailed measurement checks and confirmation.
  • Skilled measurements using micrometers and gauge, reporting to the thousandth of an inch.
  • Follow all established standard operating procedures for repairs including maintaining a safe and organized workspace and observing necessary safety precautions during assembly, testing, storage, and transfer of product.
  • Follow all proper procedures for set up, use and maintenance of tools and equipment in the repair center.
  • Courteous interaction and communication with inside and outside sales, management, and warehouse personnel
  • Professional interaction with customers when addressing questions and concerns about repairs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot pump performance issues to perform necessary work and repairs.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working on centrifugal pumps, specifically vertical turbine.
  • Prior experience working on positive displacement pumps.
  • Ability to accurately use and read micrometers, gauges, and indicators.
  • Basic knowledge of manual machining.
  • Ability to read and understand installation and operations manuals and schematics.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet order deadlines.
  • Positive attitude.
