The Distribution Centers Strategic Optimization Industrial Engineer is responsible for all aspects of Industrial Engineering and process improvements at either all Ambient or Perishable Distribution Center facilities (ADC/PDC). Key Relationships include all vendors, internal business partners and ADC/PDC team members.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design facilities, processes, and plans utilization of facilities, equipment, materials and personnel to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
  • Implement engineered labor standards at designated Distribution Centers.
  • Analyze statistical data for inbound and outbound order volumes while optimizing process efficiency.
  • Identify and champion improvement opportunities in safety, productivity, cost savings and quality.
  • Implement and support new Supply Chain and lean warehousing initiatives.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering with 5-7 years of experience or a Master's degree with 3-4 years of experience.
  • Experience in using AutoCAD, Enterprise Resource Planning, Warehouse Management System, and Transportation Management System required.
  • Knowledge of Inventory Control, demand forecasting techniques, operations.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work alone as well as part of a team on various projects.
  • Ability to prioritize requests from multiple sources.
  • Ability to utilize equipment for the job.

Physical Demands/Equipment:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to use drafting tools and/or computer software programs for facility/workspace design.
