BAI is seeking a Construction Office Engineer to work for MDOT State Highway Administration's Office of Construction (SHA OOC) District 1 projects located in the following Maryland counties: Dorchester, Wicomico, Somerset, and Worcester.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of project records/files,
- Coordination with field inspection staff to document work progress,
- Data entry of construction contract work,
- Review/process contractor progress pay requests,
- Track review/processing of contract submittals, schedules, requests for information, etc.,
- Prepare project correspondence and documentation,
- Prepare monthly construction progress reports,
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school Diploma or GED
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an Office Engineer in traffic and/or highway construction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft office products
- Experience with MSHA MCMS/e-MCMS
- Ability to work well within a project team by building relationships and teamwork
- High-level of integrity, ethics, quality service, and safety
- Maintain a positive rapport with supervisor, co-workers, and client
