CFC has a need for a Senior VDI Engineer to join our Business Technology Services team. The Senior VDI Engineer is responsible for envisioning, planning, and executing virtualized desktop infrastructure solutions. This position promotes the adoption of VDI technologies, enhance end-user experiences, and optimize resource utilization.

As a Senior VDI Engineer, you will:
• Evaluate existing infrastructure and propose enhancements or migrations to VDI platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, user needs, and performance expectations and recommend VDI solutions that align with organizational goals, considering scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Define the overall VDI architecture, including components such as hypervisors, connection brokers, storage, and networking; select appropriate hardware and software components based on workload requirements; and create detailed design documents specifying configurations, redundancy, failover mechanisms, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Implement security best practices for VDI environments, including access controls, encryption, and network segmentation, while ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations and internal policies and practices.
• Designs user profiles, application delivery methods, and personalized desktop experiences and integrate with identity and access management systems for seamless authentication.
• Provide training to IT staff and end-users on VDI usage and troubleshooting.

To be successful, you will need:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience
• 5 years of experience in VDI architecture, deployment, and management.
• Advanced knowledge of VMware Horizon VDI technologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven track record of successful VDI implementations in enterprise-scale environments.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft products to support VDI and desktop users such as Windows 10, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, ADFS, Azure-AD, GPO Policies, etc.
• Ability to create system diagrams and documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
• Knowledge of information security principles and technologies.
