Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR Generalist with a specialization in payroll to join the team. The HR Generalist/Payroll Specialist plays an important role and is responsible for managing and processing payroll for all employees including ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This role will also support various HR functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, and onboarding. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for delivering excellent HR services.
Duties:
Payroll Administration:
- Process multiple payroll runs for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain payroll records and prepare necessary reports for management.
- Handle payroll inquiries and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Track and process deductions and garnishments.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Manage employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
- Conduct new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Handle HR related inquiries and questions.
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing and HR generalist functions.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
