The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for inspecting all product manufactured from approved Contract Manufacturers and the Bozeman Production floor ensuring YETI Quality Standards are met. The QC Inspector shall consistently follow standards and processes for ISO 9001 compliance.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position based on site in Bozeman, MT.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspection of finished goods in accordance with established Quality Standards and Inspection Procedures.
  • Coordinate inspection priorities with team members
  • Collect finished goods from WIP area for final inspection.
  • Assist in repairing nonconforming product as needed.
  • Ensure all inspection information is accurately documented in Centric.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping in Centric of repair times, charge backs, and deviations.
  • In a prompt and effective manner, communicate quality feedback to team members
  • Proficient in knowledge of Quality Standards and the ability to apply them to the inspection of goods from Contract Production facilities.
  • Adhere to workflow efficiency and repeatable process for consistency through all products
  • Close transfer orders and generate Item receipts.
  • Accurately tag and sticker Contractor finished goods when necessary.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Work with Quality Developer - Domestic to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of a Raw Material Inspection process.
  • Work with Warehouse Manager to maximize space utilization in warehouse.
  • Assist in inventory audits for any/all products assigned to QA/QC operations to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean working area and dispose of all trash items on a routine basis.
  • Domestic travel may be required 10% of the time.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Familiarity with company products preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite preferred.
  • Excellent organization skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Clear and concise writing skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, multi-task, quickly adjust priorities as needed, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to train to use Forklift and pallet jack.
  • Ability to occasionally lift objects up to 36 inches from floor level weighing up to 50 lbs
