Business Development Representative

Solace IT Solutions is a dynamic and rapidly growing IT Managed Services provider to businesses all over the US. We are looking for a Business Development Representative to join our growing team. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers, from first contact until you close the deal. If you are motivated and results-driven, and enjoy working in a team environment, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities
  • Lead generation by proactively identifying, approaching and securing new business opportunities
  • Explore various channels including chamber memberships, cold calls, emails, networking organizations, trade shows and other company provided opportunities to develop new leads weekly
  • Call on executive level decision makers in a consultative sales role and communicate our value and how it differentiates our company
  • Research potential customers to get to know their business
  • Do a discovery call to identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Create proposal for the customer with the assistance of a Technical Engineer
  • Follow up with customer to answer any questions then close the sale and provide our contracts to be signed
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline to assist our company in meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual goals
  • Track all sales activity in company CRM system and keep current by updating daily
  • Know current trends of the IT industry to assist Solace in staying competitive
  • Report to the Customer Success Manager on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) established sales metrics (KPIs)

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role in the service industry
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Apollo, Zoho, Zomentum, Autotask)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics (KPIs)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the customer's needs
  • 5 years of experience in finding leads and closing sales in service industry
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle is required
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer
