Mold Maker – Plastics Manufacturing – Base Salary to 42.00/hour – Schaumburg, IL
- Our client is a leading plastics manufacturer. They are well established and have been in business for well over 80 years.
- The Mold Maker will be responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining molds and providing guidance on tooling issues throughout the plant. This is a first shift opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate milling, lathe, surface grinders, and basic machine shop equipment.
- Building and repairing molds.
- Read blueprints, sketches, and CAM/CAM files to determine mold specifications.
- Lead the preventative maintenance program for manual and automatic equipment.
- Utilize CAD software for mold design.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on existing molds.
- Troubleshoot mold and die issues in the shop and in current production.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Utilize strong written and verbal skills.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of CAD/CAM software experience.
- Experienced using Proto TRAK milling machine.
- 5+ years of CRM software experience.
- Ability to use 3D files to program CNC machines.
- Mold maker or tool maker journeyman certification (or equivalent).
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 30.00 – 42.00/hour range
- 8-hour shift, Monday - Friday
- Generous vacation + PTO time
