  • In this role, you will be developing and executing strategies to support the Project Procurement activities inside the LEA Project Procurement organization objectives
  • You will be the single point of contact in the proposal phase to the Proposal Management and Estimation group and in the execution phase to Project and Construction Management
  • You will function as a Project Manager inside Procurement to collect and coordinate all activities related to source development, supply strategy, logistics concept, fabrication concept, and subcontracting strategy for assigned projects
  • Coordinating with LEA Procurement and regional Global Procurement organizations to ensure alignment of procurement strategy where material/service synergies exist is part of your role
  • Additionally, you will be participating in the Sales Kick-off meeting as well as Initiating and executing the Procurement Kick-off meetings
  • You will be assessing Procurement Risks during execution
  • Further, creating the project vendor list and coordinating the Procurement and shipping schedule is your responsibility
    You will also be responsible and accountable for the Project Procurement Strategy.
  • Preparing, issuing, and executing global inquiries, as well as preparing global bid comparisons is part of your role
  • You will be responsible for creating and controlling the monthly discipline report (MDR)
  • In coordination with engineering and cross-functional staff, you will be developing, leading, and executing supply strategies, including the qualification of alternative materials or sources
  • Ensuring financial and quality objectives/requirements are clearly identified and met is part of your role
  • You will prepare Requests for Proposals and overseeing the proposal process for assigned materials/services
  • Additionally, ensuring manufacturing and global contracts are administered in accordance with contract terms is part of your role
  • Complying with ISO, other regulatory requirements, and internal SOPs is a key part of your role
  • You will be recommending new processes where needed to improve quality or on-time delivery
  • Further, you will be collecting and communicating commercial lessons learned within Procurement as well as in Cross functions
  • Coordinating, controlling, and steering the procurement activities inside a virtual team is part of your role
What makes you great
  • You have a Bachelor'sdegree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year College or university; MBA desirable
  • You also have 5-10years' experience as a Commodity Manager of a Procurement organization withglobal procurement responsibility, or Project Management in a globaloperating engineering company or combination of related experiences
  • Experiencewith ERP business system is required for this role
  • C.P.M.(NAPM Certified Purchasing Manager) and CPIM (APICS Certified in Production andInventory Management) strongly preferred

The Commodity manager creates winning solutions through knowledge of the industry, collaboration on market opportunities, use of frame agreements (FA's), introduction of new supplier options, knowledge of equipment and ability to deliver results through high impact negotiations.

Salary Pay Range: 88,875 USD - 154,050 USD
