Position Summary:

Leads and assists receiving team in receiving materials and other clerical duties related to receiving goods.

Position Responsibilities:

• Keeps records on incoming shipments.

• Monitors incoming shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of receiving shipments.

• Consults with management to clarify department priorities, identify problems, and suggest changes for improvement.

• Inspects incoming material for defects.

• Directs movement of incoming shipments from shipping and receiving area to storage and/or work areas.

• Prepares required department records and reports.

• Recommends measures to improve productivity, equipment performance, and quality of service, and suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.

• Trains and assists workers in receiving activities.

Position Qualifications:

Education:

HS degree or equivalent required.

Experience:

2+ years of Manufacturing experience required

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Production/Manufacturing environment

Lifts up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis

Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time.

Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
