Novant Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician III to join their remarkable team. This is a full-time position with opportunities for professional growth. As a Pharmacy Technician III, you would be responsible for assisting pharmacists with medication preparation, maintaining inventory and supplies, and using pharmacy electronic information and automated systems to perform tasks. The successful candidate must have a minimum of one year of experience as a pharmacy technician or four years of hospital pharmacy experience, including IV and Chemotherapy training. A high school diploma is required, and National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) is required. Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire is also required. Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, packaging, labeling, and delivery.
  • Triage phone calls and assist customers at the pharmacy window.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of stock and supplies in dispensing areas.
  • Perform all operations of pharmacy automated systems.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in pharmacy computer systems.
  • Perform pharmacy and medication unit inspections.
  • Check in medication orders and deliver floor stock to patient care areas.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of new pharmacists, technicians, students, and residents.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • One year of pharmacy technician experience or four years of hospital pharmacy experience, including IV and Chemotherapy training
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB)
  • Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire

Performs other duties as assigned. Individual will possess commensurate combination of education, experience and qualifications.
