- Assisting in the preparation and distribution of medications to patients.
- Providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborating closely with pharmacists to ensure accuracy in medication preparation.
The position encompasses a variety of tasks, including:
- Filling outpatient prescriptions, including data entry and third-party processing.
- Conducting unit inspections and maintaining stock inventory.
- Compounding oral liquids and preparing non-sterile extemporaneous medications.
- Managing the delivery of prescriptions and handling customer inquiries.
As a Licensed Pharmacy Technician, you will:
- Accurately prepare and label medications, ensuring compliance with established policies.
- Calculate the concentration and volume of medications with precision.
- Utilize appropriate equipment for compounding various dosage forms.
Responsibilities also include:
- Maintaining organized inventory to minimize costs and prevent stock-outs.
- Completing monthly medication expiration dating tasks promptly.
- Ensuring secure storage of controlled substances and maintaining accurate inventory records.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A High School Diploma.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Preferred experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
