- Medication Management
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Verify patient information and medication orders to prevent errors.
- Communication and Patient Education
- Provide clear and concise information to patients and their families about medication regimens and potential side effects.
- Answer questions and address concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Administrative and Technical Tasks
- Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring timely restocking and minimizing waste.
- Operate pharmacy software and equipment, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
- One year of relevant experience in a pharmacy setting, preferred.
- Licensure and Certification
- Current registry with applicable State Board(s) of Pharmacy, required within 90 days of hire.
- PTCB or NHA Certification or proof of enrollment in pharmacy school/FPGEE/FPGEC, required.
- Skills and Abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Basic math skills, including ratio and proportion relationships, and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Considerable knowledge of medication names, doses, routes of administration, and adverse effects.
