Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician III serves as a vital member of the healthcare team at NHRMC, collaborating with other professionals to provide exceptional patient care. This role requires a strong foundation in pharmacy skills, with a focus on medication management, sterile compounding, and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Participate in sterile compounding activities, adhering to strict quality control measures.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans, in collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required; Associate Degree, preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a pharmacy setting, with a focus on medication management and sterile compounding.
  • Current registry with applicable State Board(s) of Pharmacy, required.
  • PTCB or NHA Certification, required within 60 days of hire.
  • Additional certifications/certificates in areas such as product verification, medication history, and hazardous drug management, preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Considerable knowledge of medication names, doses, routes of administration, and adverse effects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare teams.
  • Experience with inventory management and patient interview skills.
