They will also adhere to the Northern Light Health Standards of Care/Practice, policies, and procedures. They will make decisions with an approach in which current, high quality research evidence is integrated with practitioner expertise, along with the client’s values and preferences. They will adhere to their five domains of professional practice; advocacy and outreach, supervision, education, administration/leadership, and research as well as the eight services delivery domains; collaboration, counseling, prevention and wellness, screening, assessment, treatment, modalities, technology and instrumentation and population and systems. Responsibilities: Plans, prepares, or carries out individually designed programs of treatment to maintain, improve, or restore speech, language, cognitive and swallowing functioning. Performs and documents an initial exam, evaluating data to identify problems and determine a therapy diagnosis prior to intervention and identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress and plans for reevaluation. Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit while terminating treatment when maximal benefits have been attained as well as developing appropriate discharge plans. Performs complete, accurate and timely documentation including billing within the electronic medical record. Maintains and exhibits a current knowledge of profession and participates in continuing education. Performs diagnostic procedures and interventions within their scope of practice. Recommend changes in patients' work or living environments, consistent with their needs and capabilities. Maintains a safe environment complying with Northern Light Health policies and procedures; reports and directly addresses environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed.
