Position: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. This role is essential in supporting students as they navigate their speech and language challenges. Your expertise will help create a nurturing and inclusive environment that fosters both academic and social growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough evaluations to assess students' speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Design personalized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs based on evaluation findings.
  • Deliver dynamic and effective speech-language therapy services, focusing on areas such as articulation, language comprehension, fluency, and social communication.
  • Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to implement effective strategies within the educational setting.
  • Track and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide training and support to teachers and staff on communication strategies that can be utilized in the classroom.
  • Conduct screenings to identify students who may benefit from speech and language services.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of therapy sessions and progress reports as required.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience in a school environment is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of pediatric speech and language disorders, assessment techniques, and evidence-based practices.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to positively impacting students' lives through effective communication support.
