Contracts and Grants Manager

Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Contracts and Grants Manager is responsible for community programs, fiscal, compliance oversight of the community grants funded operations. This includes budget management, staff supervision, capacity building, grants/contract compliance, and performance management of all community programs, including multiple partner sites, and mobile outreach. The Contracts and Grants Manager will be responsible for responding to the needs of the community, executing programs based on the direction of the Chief Operating Officer. The Contracts and Grants Manager Grant Manager is responsible for expanding activities based on the strategic vision of Respite Care of San Antonio.
job responsibilities
- Manages all pre- and post-award grants and contracts in community program operations.
- Oversees all aspects of community grant reporting submissions including the identification, preparation, submission, tracking, and reporting.
- Develop reports on program performance for the Director and assist with uploading reports into the grant portal with a high level of accuracy and detail.
- Ensure program compliance with policies, procedures, and performance outcomes established by funders, accrediting bodies, and RCSA.
- Review the specific requirements outlined in the grants, contracts, and RCSA practices related to conducting surveys for community programs. This includes regulatory environments at the federal and state level.
- Ensure survey instruments administered to families and children align with the objectives and goals of the community programs.
- Creates and maintains all necessary documentation and files in a compliant, appropriate, and timely manner.
- Ensures all community programs operate efficiently, effectively, and in strict accordance with federal and state regulations, licensing standards, and grant contract terms while ensuring RCSA's culture, procedures, policies and practices are conducted with excellence in mind.
- Ensures all licensing standards are fully achieved and exceed in all community programs sites.
- Ensures all team members and training of personnel are in compliance with required grants, policies, and accrediting bodies.
- Plans, organizes, and participates in special projects including outreach efforts, public speaking, and special activities for the families.
- Be aware of local community resources and make appropriate referrals to current and potential families.
- Be a support and resource contact for both current and potential families and community partners.
- Coordinates with other social service agencies, organizations, and vendors to provide appropriate services and information to current and potential families.
- Provides advocacy on behalf of the families and children by making appropriate referrals to other social services, education, health agencies, and navigating the system as needed by families served.
- Be aware of local community resources and make appropriate referrals to current and potential families.
- Assists and participates in meetings with community program team members to ensure alignment with the agency's mission and seamless continuity of services.required qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older and have favorable findings on background checks to include the Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Department of Health, and Texas Department of Family and Protective Services criminal record checks and negative drug test and negative TB test.
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Non-Profit Management, or a related field and two years of experience in management.
- Minimum of two years' experience in management.
- Experience working with families with children of special needs and children with special needs.
- Experience developing and maintaining relationships with diverse community partners including law enforcement and community agencies.
- Experience in planning, prioritizing, and organizing a complex workload in a diverse community.
- Must be willing to participate in on-call rotation, and work some evenings and weekends on an as-needed basis.
