GENERAL SUMMARY:Provide support to the US Navy
LOCATION:Norfolk, VA
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fabricate, install, removed, modify and repair piping and hoses; layout, template, and target pipe for welding/brazing. P2, and P3 piping systems. Steam plant cleanliness and skilled in using precision measuring instruments.
- 1 - 3 years of experience.
- Experience working in a shipyard / ship repair environment.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, written technical instructions and manuals, and lead and supervise their implementation.
- Prospective employees must be a US Citizen with a Clean Background and able to pass a Drug Screen
- Experience working on all classes of ships (CVN, CG, DDG, SSN). Able to hold and maintain a security clearance a plus
- High school diploma or GED equivalence
- Ability to obtain DBIDS is required.
