The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) is a highly skilled nurse with expertise in a specific specialty area of patient care. The APN is responsible for assessing and managing patients, ordering diagnostic tests, consultations, and therapeutic interventions, as well as implementing and evaluating the plan of care. This role also includes working in collaboration with other healthcare providers to provide family-centered care and maintaining specialty practice standards and research.

  • Conduct patient assessments, physical examinations, and collect clinical data
  • Administer medications, interpret medical laboratory test results, and diagnose medical conditions
  • Mentor new staff and physician assistant students
  • Maintain accurate patient coding and detailed medical reports

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current licensure as NP and certification in ACLS and BLS
  • Proficiency in computerized medical recordkeeping and billing systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills

Physical Demands:

  • Standing, walking, lifting, and handling frequently
  • Repetitive motions and eye/hand/foot coordination constantly
  • Ability to quickly adapt to a fast-paced work environment
