The Role:

Kitsch is looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable Sr. Quality Assurance Consumables to become an integral part of our enthusiastic Quality team. The role is expected to work closely with our team of  product development, production, purchasing, marketing, sales and vendors to conduct product evaluation and improvement projects, ensure products comply with regulatory requirements, product specification and customer’s satisfaction. This role is also responsible for developing test methods, non-conformity management plans and quality control plans for existing and new products that reflect the Kitsch brand look and match our target market and end-user requirements.

The ideal candidate is analytical, knowledgeable, innovative, energetic, systematic, and preferably experienced in quality assurance, quality audits, regulatory compliance and product improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Product Development and vendors to conduct product launch sampling evaluation, improvement and ensure new products are compliant with specifications, target markets regulations, and customer’s satisfaction.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Product Development and vendors to conduct current product evaluation, change risk analysis and improvement projects, ensure products are compliant with regulatory requirements, product specifications and customer’s satisfaction.
  • Monitor product safety, performance and quality regularly. Investigate detected defects and customer complaints with vendors and initiate preventive and corrective actions. Provide clear corrective action feedback to vendors and monitor improvements progress.
  • Be an essential part of deviation, CAPA’s and change control activities.
  • Coordinate product inspections in warehouses, customer’s stores and the vendor’s processing sites including oversea audits.
  • Coordinate and lead North America vendor’s onsite audits.
  • Manage quarantine, withdrawals and recalls if necessary.
  • Maintain, update and improve Consumable vendors Quality Scorecard & Ranking.
  • Involved in all aspects of regulatory compliance, renewal compliance and label approval.
  • Supervises QC Specialists of Consumables
  • Performs other related duties as may be assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, major in engineering, bio-science or chemical science is most preferable (consideration will be given to other science as well depending on additional qualifications)
  • At least 3+ years of work experience in a Supplier Quality Assurance function or Quality management system coordination.
  • At least 2 year of auditing experience. Desirable in Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics and Personal Care (PCPC)  industries.
  • Certificates in PCPC Regulatory Affairs, Quality Operations, etc. would be considered as an asset.
  • Knowledgeable in risk analysis tools and statistical analysis.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to make convincing & assertive recommendations. 
  • Business acumen with the ability to influence and negotiate with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize key deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with strong technical communication knowledge. PCPC industries writing experience is preferred
  • Good database management skills, computer skills, project scheduling, results summary and data analysis skills.
  • Moderate ERP knowledge is desirable.

Travel

  • Travel up to 20% of the time - automobile / airplane, travel will be international with flight time 4+ hours depending on the destination.
  • Must have a valid US Visa
