- Three years of administrative experience in a clinical setting
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate degree
- Bilingual skills (read, write, and speak the Spanish and English languages)
- Administrative experience in a clinical setting beyond the minimum requirements experience working in a clinic with medical providers
- 2 or more years of lead or supervisory experience
- Experience managing the workflow in a medical office or clinic
- Experience in a medical setting diagnosing and treating STDs or other communicable diseases
- Experience developing and implementing workflow processes in a medical setting
- Experience performing quality assurance activities in a medical setting
- Experience working with State regulatory and licensing requirements for an Outpatient Treatment Center
- Supervise the daily operations of a Public Health Clinic satellite site, monitor workflow processes, and provide direction to staff to ensure the clinic is operating smoothly and patients are being seen in a timely manner
- Work with Public Health Supervisors and Division Administrator to coordinate processes across multiple locations
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate clinic processes to efficiently manage the flow of the clinic and the tasks of the clinic staff
- Develop and monitor performance plans; conduct performance evaluations; train, coach, and counsel staff and ensure staff is in compliance with County and Department policies and procedures and with State licensing requirements for an Outpatient Treatment Center and recommend updates
- Troubleshoot and correct problems, resolve conflicts, customer concerns, and complaints escalated by staff or medical providers
- Perform quality control and assurance activities and initiate changes to improve quality patient care and cost-effectiveness
- Ensure adequate supplies and pharmaceuticals are available and ordered as needed and that items are stored and maintained properly
- Provide reports and activity updates to management
- The Public Health Site Supervisor in this position will be working in a clinical setting
- Must be able to participate in emergency response training as scheduled and be available to respond as directed in the event of a public health emergency
- Travel will be required to attend conferences, training, and possibly varying work locations as assigned by the Program Supervisor, Division Administrator, or Medical Director, subject to County policies regarding using County vehicles or private vehicles on County business
- Within one month of hire, all employees will be required to provide evidence of immunity or receive immunizations for vaccine-preventable illnesses for any position within the Maricopa County Department of Public Health; required immunizations include MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Tdap (whooping cough and diphtheria), Varicella (chickenpox), and annual Influenza; some positions require a Hepatitis B vaccine and/or a Tuberculosis test
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire
