**This position is fully grant-funded through 2027 with the opportunity for renewal on the basis that future grant funding is secured.

POSITION SUMMARY

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed below. The activities are related to the deliverables of grants administered and executed in both the Business/IT and Engineering Technologies departments. The person in this position will work with project teams to navigate day-to-day issues while continually addressing project sustainability. This is a fully grant funded position for four years with the potential for renewal using college or new grant funding.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Develop a working knowledge of the funding agencies and award compliance. Ensure that all the grant policies and Marion Technical College policies are followed.
  2. Maintain excellent working relations with the public, faculty, and internal and external stakeholders of the grant as a representative of the College. Advise the College and stakeholders on various matters.
  3. Plan, organize, and execute events for participants, which include but are not limited to admissions events, mobile lab tours/demos, workshops, camps, summer enrichment programs, career events, and faculty professional development.
  4. Serve as the program coordinator and launch initiatives to recruit women and other underrepresented populations including first-generation students and veterans into the grant funded programs.
  5. Collect accurate data and maintain a database of participants as outlined by the reporting requirements of the funding agencies with compliance to FERPA regulations.
  6. Serve as one of the points of contact for program participants. Provide information on academic programs of study and next steps for enrollment, registration, and fee payment.
  7. Contribute to the development and execution of an overarching marketing plan for outreach and engagement. Develop outreach plans that assists in driving initiatives to increase enrollment in programs that support the related industries and career pathways. Coordinate outreach to target populations including: prospective high school students, adult learners, incumbent workers, government agencies, and K-12 administrators and faculty.
  8. Work with the College's Marketing department on the development of promotional materials.
  9. Provide assistance and information about campus services and resources which include, but are not limited to, childcare solutions and other wrap-around services for students offered on campus and/or in partnership with community-based organizations.
  10. Assist the Director of Engineering with budget monitoring, providing routine reports on the status of expenditures, invoices etc. as well as submitting and tracking purchase requisitions as needed.
  11. Ensure time and effort reports are completed and submitted by project team members in a timely manner.
  12. Ensure appropriate supporting documents, forms, and reports are filed accurately and completed on schedule.
  13. Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and provide meeting minutes.
  14. Develop an understanding of material archiving and dissemination requirements for the grant funded projects. Facilitate promotion of projects at conferences, dissemination by the project team, and other events.
  15. Assist in coordinating individual and group math tutoring for students in the grant funded programs.
  16. Work with the College's Career Services department to coordinate employer-led mentorship for students enrolled in the Smart Manufacturing earn and learn program.
  17. Conduct surveys and focus groups with students to incorporate student voice into development activities.
  18. Complete special projects as assigned. Work with the grant project teams to develop and implement methods and research for completing projects in consideration of the overall goal and project results.
  19. Work assigned schedule. Exhibit regular and predictable attendance and work outside of the normal schedule as needed.
  20. Perform other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree or higher in Business, Information Technologies, Engineering, Office Administration, Communication, or an appropriately related field of study. Grant management and higher education experience preferred. State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s). Exhibit excellent English, communication, and composition writing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft® Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook) with excellent computer and related technology skills required. Demonstrate the ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal direction and oversight. Willingness to work an irregular schedule as assigned. Ability to successfully pass background checks, including FBI/BCI, prior to and after employment. Valid driver's license or dependable transportation is required. Smart phone required.

ADA SPECIFICATIONS

This position is classified, as Staff will perform a wide range of professional and administrative support functions for the College, primarily in an office setting. Further information may be obtained from the Office of Human Resources.
