POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Software Engineer will support Modern Government Solutions (MGS) located in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. MGS supports DoD and international customers by planning, implementing and testing systems and software for advanced radar and threat simulator systems. We specialize in the development of advanced radar systems and radar related products for the Department of Defense and other U.S. Government agencies. Our radar programs involve all phases of development from requirements generation through hardware and software design, fabrication, integration and test.

RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):

MGS is seeking a multi-faceted Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software systems. In addition, you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will provide support on various projects, so the ability to adapt and prioritize projects is essential. As the Senior Engineer, you will be an intracell and important part of the team and the projects they will support.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • B.S Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 10-15 years of experience related software development experience, specifically C/C++.
  • Experience working with Embedded and/or Real Time systems, specifically DoD sensor equipment.
  • Experience working in Linux and Windows environments.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • M.S. Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Experience with C#/.Net.
  • Strong math background with strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with Radar Systems.
  • Experience working with the following: Qt Creator, Visual Studio, Git, GitLab, GitHub, Google Test, CxxTest, xUnit, CMake.
  • Experience with DoD Lifecycle development and/or Agile methodologies.
  • Software Development experience with continuous integration, test-driven development.
  • Experienced in leading small teams and projects.
  • Ability to perform a small amount of travel to support customer needs.
