Job Summary As a regulated medical device organization our Inventory Cycle Counter are critical to the receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders with care and quality while helping to maintain a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity through cycle count process. This position is responsible for identify and researching inventory discrepancies and inventory control reports. The Inventory Cycle Counter is expected to be capable of assisting Supervisor and/or Lead Warehouse Workers where necessary as well as investigate and research issues of moderate complexity. Will receive some direction on assignments and is then expected to complete the work independently. Job Details/Responsibilities Requires ability to operate various material handling equipment with proficiency and safety. Responsible for the accurate checking or counting of all product for both inbound and outbound freight and for ensuring all product is free of damage and infestation and production code dates are properly recorded. Ensure the quantity, quality, labeling, and addressing of orders corresponds to customer specifications and/or other requirements. Research all inventory location problems (mystery pallets, inventory errors, etc.). Research shipping errors and complete validation. Check for product recalls. Responsible for any areas (including inbounds, picking, outbounds, etc.) requiring task assistance. Associate is responsible to follow requirements of TMC Quality System; including but not limited to requirements for traceability of product, recognizing customer complaints and the requirement to forward information to QA, and the Quality System requirements for Distribution centers. Performs investigations and research independently where judgement is required to answer questions, resolve issues, and confirm processes are completed in a timely manner with high accuracy. Participates in all physical inventories and cycle count activities. Must adhere and follow written procedures to ensure inventory integrity. Maintaining warehouse in clean and organized manner. Confirm that warehouse equipment is in good working condition before use. Accurately complete any records required of equipment operation and time. Notify supervisor or lead of any issues with warehouse equipment. Identifies potential improvement opportunities and may lead focused improvements as part of an improvement project. Participates in project performance team meetings on behalf of the job unit to provide ideas, methods, or processes for unit/company performance improvement. Mentors and trains new associates as part of onboarding activities. Follows procedures and identifies opportunities to clarify where needed. May participate in identifying procedure updates and changes as part of project activities. Perform other job-related duties assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) Able to independently complete routine and moderately complex assignments that require critical thinking and problem resolution. Advanced computer skills including ability to accurately enter data, run reports and investigate issues in an automated ERP system. Basic math skills for proper inventory and record-keeping. Must be able to use shipping software and be computer proficient. Previous experience using Powered Industrial Lift Equipment including sit down rider, and powered walk-behind required. Typically requires close visual attention to work being performed. Requires the ability to lift at least, but not limited to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time at a work- station. Job may include continual stopping, bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, and reaching. In-frequent lifting up to 100 lbs. Must be able to read, speak, and write English Qualifications/ Background Experiences High School Degree or GED. Minimum of 3 years of experience within a distribution center, or related position is required. Minimum of 2 years’ experience driving forklift and operating other distribution center machinery. Lift operator certified. Working knowledge of JD Edwards/SAP system & cycle counting is preferred.
