Description

If so, our team at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Analyst to join our Strike Analysis Group. In this role, you will be responsible for developing models, performing analysis, and collaborating with a talented team of engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists. Our work has a significant impact on Department of Defense programs and we are committed to delivering outstanding, unbiased analysis products. Responsibilities

  • Develop models and perform analysis on sensor, tracker, communication, and weapon systems using AFSIM
  • Conduct statistical analysis to identify trends, assess risk, and document uncertainties in simulation results
  • Collaborate with the software development team on improving custom tools
  • Work with a small team and engage in independent research projects
  • Present work through briefings to technical specialists and decision makers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field
  • At least two years of experience with AFSIM for modeling, simulation, and analysis
  • Experience in statistical analysis
  • Proficient in a programming or scripting language such as MATLAB or Python
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
