We are seeking a highly skilled Air-to-Air Modeling & Simulation Analyst to join our dynamic team at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your modeling, simulation, and analysis background in a collegiate environment.

About the Position

This is a critical role that requires expertise in analyzing air combat systems and developing tactics and concepts of employment for groundbreaking technologies. As an Air-to-Air Modeling & Simulation Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Analyzing the effectiveness and employment of airborne systems operating in complex environments using tools such as AFSIM.
  • Developing, evaluating, and analyzing tactics and concepts of employment for ground-breaking technologies like air platforms, sensors, countermeasures, and weapons including manned-unmanned vehicles.
  • Collaborating with a team of analysts who will benefit from your experience and senior engineers with whom you will guide the direction of analysis.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated excellence in conducting mission-level modeling, simulation, & analysis in the air-to-air domain with tools such as AFSIM or Brawler.
  • Strong scripting and programming skills with languages like Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or JAVA.
  • The ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and communicate sophisticated ideas directly with government civilians, military officers, and other contractors.
  • Eligibility for an Interim Secret level security clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret level clearance.
