Responsible for support, planning, organizing, leading, and performing comprehensive advanced level research, innovation projects, and quality improvement and evidence-based practice projects. Focus is on supporting Magnet® designation by assuring elements of New Knowledge, Innovation and Improvement are successfully achieved. The role facilitates research, innovation projects, and quality improvement and evidence-based practice in ways that promote health, guide healthcare practices, improve patient outcomes and transform lives. Principal Accountabilities: Must have exemplary computer skills in MS Office. Experience with database management with Qualtrics, REDCap and NVIVO preferred. Must be able to work collaboratively with the research team, as well as work independently to meet project deadlines. Collaborate and mentor MMC nurses to support nursing research, innovation, QI/EBP from conception through dissemination - publications, posters, and podium presentations. Preparing study progress and/or regulatory reports. Assisting with IRB application submissions and reporting. Assisting with data collection, management, and analysis. Facilitating data collection and maintaining data protection and quality. Participating in other research-related activities as delegated. Tracks, records, and reports projects as assigned. Assists in writing research grants, publications in nursing literature, study materials, brochures, and correspondence. Support system-wide activities as requested. Attends MMC and AHS professional research and meetings. Teaches in select Center for Nursing Innovation and Research (CNIR) educational programs. Supports goals of the CNIR. Supports goals of Magnet® elements. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required: PhD prepared, or equivalent research-focused degree; or DNP with strong experience in higher education. Valid New Jersey Registered Nurse License required. Experience in Clinical or Nursing Research. CITI Training for Minimal Risk Research. BLS for Healthcare Providers. Preferred: Experience 2+ years teaching in higher education. Experience with IRB application submissions. Sustained, impactful publication record. Knowledge of grant funding applications.
