PRIMARY DUTIES:

Facilitates patient movement to examination rooms and prepares individuals for assessments and medical procedures based on physician guidelines.
Records essential patient metrics, including pulse, blood pressure, height, and more.
Conducts necessary medical procedures, such as blood draws, vaccinations, EKGs, and holter monitoring.
Assists physicians during procedures, administers medications, and provides patient education.
Handles telephonic nursing duties when appropriate, including triaging, pre-authorizations, referrals, and prescription management.
Performs administrative tasks to support physicians in patient care; communicates with patients regarding test outcomes or other related matters as instructed.
When necessary, organizes patient appointments to optimize clinical time efficiency.Ensures examination rooms and shared workspaces are maintained in a tidy and organized manner on a daily basis.
Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of an accredited program in practical nursing or medical assisting.
CERTIFICATION:
Current TN RN license, Practical Nursing license, or National Certification in Medical Assisting is REQUIRED.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Preferred one year of experience in a medical office environment.
