PRIMARY DUTIES:

Accompany patients to examination rooms and prepare them for assessments and procedures as per physician guidelines.
Document patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, height, and weight.
Conduct necessary procedures such as blood draws, vaccinations, EKGs, and holter monitoring.
Assist physicians during procedures, administer medications, and provide patient education.
Manage phone nursing tasks when necessary, including triaging, pre-authorizations, referrals, and prescription calls.
Carry out clerical tasks essential for the physicians to effectively see patients; reach out to patients regarding test outcomes or other related matters as instructed.
When required, arrange patient appointments ensuring optimal use of clinical time slots.Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked examination rooms and shared workspaces on a daily basis.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Completion of an accredited program in practical nursing or medical assisting.
Possession of a current TN RN license, Practical Nursing license, or National Certification in Medical Assisting is MANDATORY.
EXPERIENCE:
Preferably one year of experience in a medical office environment.
