Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Down Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong SAP experience or equivalent high computer literacy in similar ERP systems. This role involves staging, filling, capping, labeling, and over-packing liquid, powder, and lyophilized products according to approved downstream specifications. The candidate will be responsible for completing appropriate documentation per ISO procedures and ensuring products are delivered to inventory.
Key Accountabilities:
- Stage, fill (manually or semi-automatically), cap, label, and over-pack products as per specifications.
- Follow quality and safety procedures to ensure product integrity.
- Support quality systems and contribute to process improvement efforts.
- Train others and collaborate effectively in a team setting.
- Perform minor maintenance and troubleshoot issues with the fill line/process.
- Communicate line status, problems, and issues accurately to the incoming shift/team lead or supervisor.
- Anticipate and address bottlenecks and malfunction issues that affect process flow.
- Support process improvement initiatives and maintain a high level of teamwork and communication.
Education and Work Experience:
Basic Requirements:
- Associate's degree (2 Year Degree).
- Proficiency in basic mathematics including unit conversions, multiplication/division, and formula calculations.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with business applications.
- 2 years of direct manufacturing experience in a GMP/Pharmaceutical or related industry.
- Demonstrated experience in a 5S and Lean environment.
Additional Preferences:
- Experience with SAP ERP or a relevant MRP system.
- Strong technical skills, curiosity, and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
Job Specific Competencies & Skills:
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. with lifting equipment.
- Specific vision requirements including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment including an air helmet, mask, safety shoes, apron, rubber and Tyvek suits, protective gloves, and safety glasses/goggles.
