Provides training and supervision to interns and other mental health staff as delegated. EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE: Master’s Degree from an accredited graduate school of social work, with at least 12 semester hours or the equivalent of coursework that prepares the individual to practice as a licensed clinical social worker. Must have 3 years of full time supervised clinical social work experience or the part time equivalent and have passed ASWB exam. Be licensed by State of New York as LCSW. Could be eligible for permit to practice as LCSW with supervision and must receive LCSW within 1 year. SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Have a good understanding of behavioral health crisis intervention. Ability to communicate effectively with patient, family, medical team, and other professions within hospital and in the community. Knowledge of community resources. Current BLS/CPR certification WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS: Clinical setting, exposure Class I, routine or potential exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions or secretions. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Medium work: standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling. WORK CONTACT GROUP: All services, employees, medical staff, patients, visitors, vendors, various regulatory and professional agencies. SUPERVISED BY: Manager and Coordinator SUPERVISES: Social Work Trainees, other staff as delegated. Pay Range: $29.45 - $41.40 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
