The Upstate Medical University Department of Psychiatry is seeking a licensed clinical social worker to provide inpatient or outpatient therapy to children and adolescents in our Psychiatry Faculty Practice. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide individual and family psychotherapy, as well as supervision and leadership to social workers in the practice.
Responsibilities include developing and expanding an outpatient/inpatient child and adolescent psychotherapy practice, working closely with the mental health team to develop and run an effective child and adolescent service, and attending yearly hospital-required performance evaluations. A New York State LCSW-C or C eligible social worker from an accredited training program with a practice focus on children, adolescents, and families is required. Experience working on a multidisciplinary team and supervising clinical social workers is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individual and family psychotherapy to children and adolescents
- Develop and expand an outpatient/inpatient child and adolescent psychotherapy practice
- Supervise and lead social workers in the practice
- Work closely with the mental health team to develop and run an effective child and adolescent service
- Attend yearly hospital-required performance evaluations
- New York State LCSW-C or C eligible social worker from an accredited training program with a practice focus on children, adolescents, and families
- Experience working on a multidisciplinary team and supervising clinical social workers preferred
This position is a full-time opportunity with a competitive salary range of $58,459 - $84,050.
