As the accounting manager, you will be in charge of the entire accounting procedures including month-end close procedures, journal entry postings, GL account reconciliations, internal control maintenance, financial compliance of financial statements, and daily and/or weekly analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing full cycle accounting and financial reporting
  • Establishing and coordinating all accounting procedures for the business unit
  • Analyzing financial data to identify trends/variances
  • Handling AP, AR, Payroll, Tax functions as well as overseeing inventory and purchase orders
  • Providing daily and/or weekly analysis, and reporting on operational performance as it relates to the business activities
  • Assisting in the formulation of the budget and preparing the monthly budget variance analyses
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • CPA is a plus
  • 4 years of related accounting experience, public accounting is a plus
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, must be a team player
  • Must be self managed
Expected Salary is in the $100-110K range, position requires in Birmingham, AL office 3 days of the week

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
