JOB SUMMARY
Join our team as a CDL B Truck Driver, where you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and pickup of containers to and from customer locations. Your role is critical in ensuring excellent service and maintaining strong relationships with our customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safely operate a commercial truck with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers at various customer sites, adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Conduct and log thorough pre and post trip inspections of the commercial vehicle and lift equipment.
  • Accommodate add-on deliveries as required to meet customer needs effectively.
  • Utilize a company-provided handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation purposes.
  • Operate a forklift and/or an overhead crane when needed.
  • Ensure containers are clean and presentable before delivering to customers.
  • Coordinate rental paperwork and payments with customers seamlessly.
  • Communicate with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding any customer inquiries or issues, and prepare necessary driver notes.
  • Perform repairs on containers and lift equipment both in the field and at the storage center.
  • Support storage center operations when required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck cab, inside and out.
  • Be flexible and willing to perform other duties as assigned.

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Typically reports to Management, with direct supervisors such as Market Manager or Territory Manager.
  • This position is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees, including hiring, termination, or pay decisions.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid CDL Class B License without air brake restriction.
  • Must retain a current, valid driver's license.
  • Must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards.
  • Minimum age of 21 years (insurance requirement).
  • Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or be able to obtain a minimum one-year certification (DOT requirement).
  • Experience with electronic equipment and software is preferred.
  • Basic math skills sufficient to perform required duties.
  • Willingness to complete the required 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.
