Salary: $23.00 per hour
Join our team as a CDL B Driver where you will play a vital role in delivering and picking up containers from customer locations. We're seeking a reliable and dedicated professional who values safety and excels at building rapport with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism to safely load and unload containers at customer sites while adhering to all safety protocols.
Conduct thorough pre and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and lift, maintaining detailed logs.
Manage add-on deliveries as needed to support our business operations.
Utilize a company-provided handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation to enhance efficiency.
Safely operate a forklift and/or overhead crane as required.
Ensure containers are clean and presentable for delivery to customers.
Coordinate necessary rental paperwork and payment processing with customers.
Communicate effectively with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding customer inquiries or issues, preparing clear driver notes as necessary.
Perform routine repairs on containers and lifts both in the field and at the storage center.
Assist with storage center functions as needed.
Maintain a clean and orderly truck cab, free from debris inside and outside.
Be open to perform other tasks as assigned to meet operational needs.
Management & Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position typically reports to a management team, with direct supervisors including the Market Manager or Territory Manager.
You will not have direct responsibility for managing other employees.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid CDL Class B license without air brake restriction is essential.
Must maintain a current and valid driver's license.
Must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards.
Age requirement: Must be at least 21 years old for insurance purposes.
Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or the ability to obtain a minimum 1-year certification (DOT requirement).
Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software is preferred.
Strong math skills sufficient for completing required duties.
Ability to attend a mandatory 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.
